We love collecting blind boxes. The reason is simple: sometimes a character is just cute. Seeing it makes the day better. So it comes home.
Then it goes into the cabinet with all the others, and stands there quietly. After a while, that started to feel like a shame — because we have always believed every character should have a story of its own.
Where does it live?
What does it see from its window?
Late at night, is the light in its room still on?
What would happen if it lived in a Gothic building? What kind of life would it lead in a white house above the Aegean?
So we started trying to build those places.
The first building
The first one began with a little star-headed character we were very fond of. From a thought, to a line, a window, a wall — to a whole building.
The first time we set the character inside and switched on the light, something strange happened. It was no longer just placed there. It looked like it had moved in.
From that moment we knew what FUN SOON BOX was for. Not just display boxes. Not just miniature architecture. We want to carry on the unfinished story of every character somebody loves.
A world on a desk
So we look for ideas in different buildings, cities, eras and daydreams: Gothic spires, white walls above the Aegean, old castles, arcades at dusk. We take those distant, enormous worlds and shrink them to fit on a desk. A box of imagination, within a square inch.
Then we leave a window, a lamp and a door.
But we never tell you how the story ends. Because the one who really moves in is your character. Who is it? Why does it live here? What is going on behind that lamp at midnight?
